Il gasometro, quando era in funzione, si alzava e si abbassava; il nostro gasometro è del tipo detto a “telescopio” che vuol dire che il cilindro interno si innalza e si abbassa, attraverso le guide laterali, indicando la quantità di gas contenuto.
